Hoi ik ben Johan Verhas, geboren in 1956 en woonachtig in Dendermonde, België. In september 2010 hebben we deze site opgestart en stukje bij beetje bouwen we deze verder uit. Sommige delen zullen in ’t Engels zijn, andere in mijn moedertaal het Nederlands.

Hoi, my name is Johan Verhas , born in 1956 and living in the town of Dendermonde , Belgium. In September 2010 construction of this site started, slowly but steadily we will keep on building. Some parts will be in English, others in Dutch/Flemish.
VICTORIA CROSS SECTION

Dit deel van de website is gewijd aan Victoria Cross holders begraven in België, de allerhoogste militaire onderscheiding in het Verenigd Koninkrijk. Grootste deel is in het Engels.

This section is dedicated to the Victoria Cross holders buried in Belgium , the highest and most prestigious of the orders, decorations, and medals of the United Kingdom. It is awarded for valour "in the presence of the enemy" to members of the British Armed Forces. It was previously awarded to Commonwealth countries, most of which no longer recommend British honours. Most of it is in English.
