THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL CEMETERIES I HAVE EVER VISITED.
Honestly, this is in my opinion one of THE examples whereby the British people show their respect for what their soldiers have done in WW1. “Chapeau” for the CWGC.
Before WW1 on this site, there was a castle, totally destroyed during the war, only some ruins remained (and are integrated in the cemetery in a superb way). The entrance of the site i.e. was the old avenue towards the castle. There are several enclosures and these are separated by some, how should I call them :…ponds. Magnifique ! And of course, maintained by the CWGC in a way they only can.
